The paper leaf is painted in tempera. It reflects the style of the Donzel school although there is no certain evidence affirming its belonging. A delightful summer river landscape shows figures in vaguely seventeenth century style clothing involved in a chivalrous pursuit.
On the right side, the initials “MD” have yet to be attributed.

The mother of pearl sticks are marvellously crafted and damascened, like many from this period.
