Ventaglio con pagina in peau de velin dipinta a gouache.
La scena, a tutta pagina, rappresenta il “sogno di Giacobbe” Genesi XXVIII, 12-17; questo dunque si puo’ considerare un ventaglio da “chiesa”.
Le figure allungate, i profili dei visi appuntiti e la scarna decorazione della pagina, lo inseriscono in area Vallone.
La decorazione del bordo della pagina semplice ed essenziale porta delle rappresentazioni che, dopo un attento esame, si potrebbero collegare alla simbologia religiosa ( il cesto colmo di frutti, la tromba con un cartiglio che riproduce un rigo musicale, la piccola natura morta di argomento marino, sulla destra, con una conchiglia e rami di corallo)
Le stecche di avorio sono traforate con una decorazione articolata e simmetrica.

It’s a fan with a peau de velin page, painted at gouache. The scene represents the “Jacob’s dream” Genesis XXVIII,12-17; so, this can be considered a Church’s fan. The longed figures, the profiles of the sharp faces, the spare decoration of the page, all this puts it in the Vallone’s area. The simple and essential decoration of the board of the page, gives us some representations which, after a precise exam, could be linked to the religious symbology (the basket full of fruits, the trumpet with a cartouche representing a musical line, the small dead marine nature , on the right, with a shell and coral branches). The ivory sticks are fretted with an articulated and symmetrical decoration.
